For anyone trying to watch their weight, the holidays are hell. Beginning one week before Halloween and ending sometime in January of the next year, the holidays are just one gluttony filled, candy-cookie-cake-turkey-mashed potatoes-pie-stuffing-you name it we'll eat it, day after day. Not to mention all of the imbibing of wine, eggnog, beer, and the like at parties.
It is so hard when there are just boxes and boxes full of candy and cookies sitting mere feet or 'gasp' mere inches from your hands. And once it is in your hands it is only a matter of mere seconds before it ends up in your mouth. Turning into extra pounds. The pants start getting tighter around this time of year, despite all of our 'running' errands.
Well, the cookie stops here (short of my mouth). I am not gaining the standard 7-8 pounds the average American gains over the holidays. Losing weight is not going to be one of my New Year's resolutions. I am resolving to keep it off NOW.
